FAQ's
Why do I still have HSS issues with the EOS-RP?
Due to a known issue with Canon's EOS-RP firmware, banding occurs with all manufacturers' flashes in HSS mode above 1/1250s. To resolve this, please update your camera's firmware version on the Canon website.
How do I check which firmware version my remote is already using?
To see which firmware version your remote is using, power the unit on and press and hold the mode button. A letter and number (b 01, b 02) will appear on the LCD readout that corresponds to the firmware version.
I downloaded the firmware file but I can’t open it on my computer.
Your computer may consider the software to be a threat, as it is coming from an “unknown developer”. You may have to manually override the security settings on your computer. Please see the "Download Instructions" above for more details.
When I plug my device to the computer, I get an error message saying “the update software is not fit for this device”.
Each firmware file is specific to the device. This is a failsafe to ensure users do not inadvertently corrupt their device. If you see this message, double-check to make sure you downloaded the correct file. If you still get the error message,

.
I'm doing everything correctly, but my remote is not recognized by the computer!
If you are properly pushing down the power button while plugging in the Micro USB cable and the computer is not showing "connected" in the firmware updater window when you attempt to connect, the cable might be broken/defective. If you have another Micro USB, try that to see if the problem is related to the included USB. If so, please

for a replacement.
